Pump Action delivered the installation of a new pumping station at a hop processing facility, including new pump sets, electrical infrastructure, pipework modifications and commissioning. The project was carefully phased to maintain the existing system during preparatory works and minimise downtime during the final installation.
The existing pumping system required replacement, with the new pump sets needing to be installed within the existing space. The works also required electrical upgrades and modifications to the existing pipework and supporting infrastructure.
Pump Action carried out an initial site visit to prepare the installation while keeping the existing operational pump running. This included removing the redundant pump, blanking the associated pipework, installing a new breaker board, rewiring the heater and socket, relocating the thermostat and preparing the new pump panel.
The installation phase then involved fitting the new pump sets, adapting the existing flange and pipework connections, installing new cable tray and cabling, completing the electrical works and commissioning the new system. The works were carefully phased to minimise disruption, with the final installation carried out during a planned shutdown.
The existing pumping system was replaced with new pump sets and associated electrical infrastructure, providing a fully upgraded and commissioned installation. By completing preparatory works in advance, Pump Action was able to minimise downtime and ensure the installation could be completed efficiently during the planned shutdown.
