Case Study

Pressurisation system replacement restores water pressure

Project:

Replacement pumps

Branch:

Manchester

Project type:

Replacement and Spares

Sector:

Facilities Management, Residential, Hospitality

Origin:

Our Manchester team was recently asked to attend site after the customer began experiencing low water pressure, which was affecting their hot water supply.

Approach:

Our engineers inspected the existing pressurisation unit and associated vessel, identifying that both pumps had failed and were leaking. We contacted the original equipment manufacturer to source replacement pumps, only to discover that the existing pumps were obsolete. Our team therefore investigated alternative pump options and costs, alongside the option of a complete replacement unit, and presented the findings to the customer.

Outcome:

The customer decided that replacing the existing system with a complete new pressurisation unit was the best option. The new system was supplied with a two-year warranty, providing the customer with a new solution and greater peace of mind.

Benefits:

As part of the solution, Pump Action also included the first service free of charge after 12 months. Another great example of our Manchester team using their engineering expertise to assess the issue, explore the available options and provide the customer with the right solution.
