The mono macerator below was an installation taking sewage etc. from cell areas within a Sheriff Court, to the main sewer one level higher, there was a constant need for the pump & macerator to be stripped due to either ragging up, or pump blockage, caused by prisoners putting pants, tee shirts, plastic cutlery etc. into the WC.
We installed the Strate Pumping Station Pictured below.
This style of Pumping Station prevents ragging up by keeping the solids & liquids in separate chambers, once a pre-set level has been reached the pumps switch on and the liquid is pumped through the solids collecting chamber, removing the solids without the usual problem with ragging up which is experienced by traditionally designed macerators, & submersible sewage pumping systems.
